Meditation may seem to be the latest wellness fad but with all the noise in our world, it has become more of a necessity than a passing fad. I begin my day with 12 minutes or more of meditation which helps set a hopeful tone for my day and provide occasional light bulb moments. Some days my meditation practice is chaotic and frustrating and my mind just won’t calm down but most days it’s just fine and on rare occasions, bliss.
Stillness. It’s not news that our world is noisier than ever. So noisy we can hardly hear ourselves think. Blaise Pascal wrote that “All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”
