Gordon Parks: No Excuses written by Ann Parr (2006, nonfiction, 32 pages). The book falls into the children’s book genre (in my home it falls into the coffee table book category). Parr’s book is a brief introduction into how Gord Parks became a well-known photographer, writer, poet, and musician. I wouldn’t recommend this book. One would be better off visiting the Gordon Parks Foundation to learn about his work and to view his photograph. Are you a Gordon Parks fan? Who is your favorite photographer? What draws you to their work?
