Ted Williams: if you don’t know the name, click on the article or Google the man, quick! I was happily surprised to see him resurface in the news. I am always wondering what happened to people (professional hazard). I enjoyed this article and his faith in knowing God would give him a second chance. I also love his commitment to giving back. I am unsure if the idea of a homeless laundromat has been done or if these individuals would even feel comfortable leaving their belongings with a complete stranger. I am also unsure if we need to create such a venue after reading this editorial. I think hygiene centers are often a good alternative. Many offer homeless men and women a place to use the restroom, take a hot shower, and do a load of laundry. They are often open on a drop-in basis during regular business hours. I love this concept as it allows individuals to feel human and present their best self.
