I admired these beautiful ruby red globes of citrus and reflected on the gardens I am planting. I could taste arugula and radishes for a wonderful summer salad and amazing homemade vinaigrette. Yes, I have planted my seeds, but it will take time for mother earth to produce bounty. So, in the meantime, I salute you with articles and books on spring gardening, and a spring cocktail. Cheers!
Ingredients:
- 1 blood orange
- 1 lime
- 8 sprigs of mint
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 3 ounces vodka
- 2 ounces of orange juice
- Ice cubes
Methodology: Add blood orange, mint, and lime to shaker. Muddle together to extract the flavor of the mint. Add vodka, orange juice, and ice .Shake well and serve in a rocks glass or juice glass over ice. Cheers to spring!
