I don’t want argue or fight, but when someone starts to wax on about making lemonade, I give a little eye roll because I know the best EVER lemonade is found at Costco. Then I found myself reading this post, and Foodie Crush had me at Honey Simple Syrup. I found myself in my kitchen saying culinary challenge accepted. Here is my boozy summer twist on lemonade. Cheers!
Ingredients
- 1-2 sprigs of mint
- ¼ cup lemonade
- 2 shots of tequila
- 1 12oz Nesbitt’s Honey Lemonade
- 1 fresh lemon
Honey simply syrup
- ½ cup raw honey
- ½ cup water
- 1-2 sprigs of your rosemary
- 1 slice fresh lemon
Instructions :In a small saucepan, bring water and honey to a boil. Reduce heat, add a rosemary and simmer for 15 minutes or until reduced by half. Let cool.
Methodology : Add mint, remaining rosemary, mint and lemon slices to shaker. Muddle together to extract the flavors. Add tequila, honey simple syrup, and ice. Shake well and serve in a rocks glass or juice glass over ice topped with honey lemonade soda. Cheers to summer!
