Big goals feel motivating until they don’t — then they feel heavy because your brain reads “big” as “unsafe.” So start small enough that success feels inevitable. If you’re waiting to start therapy, send one email. If you’re avoiding a talk, write the first sentence. If you’re craving rest, block out one hour instead of a weekend.

  1. This is a good reminder for the Bible teaches us to take no thought for tomorrow. So going small is healthy.
