“A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine “- Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin

I came across a moscato fruit wine sale on Living Social “6 Bottles of Afternoon Delight Moscato Wine and 2 Govino® Glasses” and thought oh what the hell and ordered it. After the deal and shipping it came to $9.61 a bottle. Today my box of happiness arrived. I was in love with the first flavor- watermelon. Every sip reminded me of a watermelon Jolly Rancher after they sit in your pocket all day. I knew immediately I had to order Abby a case, but a quick glance at the ingredients made that impossible. Although she is a gorgeous redhead, she is allergic to red dye. I called her and told her of my good intentions, and she challenged me to make a cocktail based on each fruity moscato. I thought “I love this challenge!” So, over the next six Fridays I will give my review of the wine and my version of a cocktail. First up, watermelon. Click here for recipe

I had moscato for the first time about 2 years ago. As I seldom drink, I thought I had picked up a bottle of Chardonnay- when I opened it and tasted it, (expecting Chardonnay), I spilt it out thinking it was expired wine as it was so sweet!

Oh, what an experience every wine isn’t for everybody. I learned this over the years as I am notrious for picking bottles because of the “pretty labels”😂

A friend said picking wine for others is like picking a DVD for them. What one person loves, others will hate! For me, Moscato is about the only wine I like the taste of!
