I made some drinks for some of my circle as we gathered to watch a few episodes of This is Us. When K smiled and asked, “Oh my God, are you practicing drinks already?!” I laughed as I knew she was referencing last year’s show down when my spouse and I found ourselves in a “friendly” impromptu cider battle. This year I am not sure what will happen when guests fill our home, but I do know if we enter a show down I have this martini up my sleeve.

1 1⁄2 oz.Vodka
1 oz of Treetop pressed cider
Juice of one Lemon
1 Tbsp Sugar
4-5 Basil leaves

Methodology: Muddle all ingredients in a shaker. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Rim glasses with lemon, place sugar on a plate. Press the rim of a chilled martini or rocks glass into the mixture to rim the edge. Strain cocktail into glass and serve.
