Tidying Up with Marie Kondo I decided I am not watching the Netflix show. I don’t need anyone telling me how to organize. My purging game is strong. I have purged hundreds of reflections and articles on this blog alone. In my personal life I purged cookbooks more than once. I donate my used magazines to the gym I no longer attend. I have cataloged all my DVDs and have donated the doubles. My kitchen cabinets and pantry are stunning, if I must say so myself. I am organizing my digital photos (thank you ScanMyPhotos for doing the heavy lifting and digitalizing them all), but now I am cataloging the books and Damyanti Biswas post Do Your Books Need to Spark Joy? spoke to me. Like her I have books by the bedside; in the bathroom, kitchen, and office, of course; oh, and don’t forget the occasional coffee table book. We have a beautiful tower of coffee table books in our living room. This year I have taken on the task of cataloging every book. I also want to read these books, and as I catalog them I will make my own reading list. Those who don’t pass the 50-page test, or those that are not worth reading again will be offered to you. Here is my first list of freebies. If you’re in the United States and interested in a book on the list, send me a email.

- Money Book for the Young, Fabulous & Broke by Suze Orman
- Love One Another from the Heart by Zondervan Gifts
- Daily blessings for my friend Melody Carlson
- Moving The Hand of God by John Avanzini
- The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Dinaw Mengestu
- Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives by Gretchen Rubin
- All He Ever Wanted: A Novel by Anita Shreve
- You’ll Never Walk Alone: God Is Always with You
- A Time for Prayer Healing Comfort by
- Basic Spanish Course book
- Finding Time: Breathing Space for Women Who Do Too Much by Paula Peisner
Very good and so nice to be tidying up and have a decluttered life

It is very therapeutic to purge, and to have things in orderly manner. Thank you for reading.

Nice idea, sharing or giving books. Unfortunately I don’t live in the US, but I really appreciate. I also agree about Marie Kondo: I can’t stand her!

I rather give them away then to donate them for resale. I simply feel that Kondo, sets a unrealistic bar…
