What the Hell— The Freezer Edition

Question: am I the only person who freezes things and thinks oh yeah, I am going to go back and use that real soon, and then you just forget about it until you’re cleaning out your freezer? Today I was looking in my freezer for boozy icicle pops (hey, no judging) and I found the following: tomato paste (can someone please tell me what the hell you do with a can of this stuff? Every recipe calls for no more than a spoon.), coconut milk (yes, this is an ongoing problem), Trader Joe’s Almond Pesto (no clue why we didn’t use the whole jar), vacuum sealed bag of homemade roasted bell peppers, vacuum sealed bag of hot dog sausage buns (We don’t eat hot dogs), a bag of random cheese rinds, a Ziploc bag of veggie scraps, and half an ice tray of Ginger Turmeric syrup (this is amazing for cold and flu season). With everything on the counter. I stared at the pile, thinking what the hell do I do with all of this. Not one for food waste, I made myself a pot of tea and dropped in a few ginger turmeric ice cubes. I called my household into the kitchen and asked who’s up for a game of Chopped? How are you dealing with your freezer madness? To the curious— I never found the boozy ice-pops.
