Dust your baseboards clear everything way from the walls and vacuum the perimeter. Collect dust by running a microfiber cloth or baseboard buddy across the boards. Mix half a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid into two quarts of warm water. Dip a clean microfiber cloth into the solution and wipe the baseboards again.  Use a slightly damp Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to gently rub off scuff marks.
