The choice is not made in theory, for to grow deep roots requires action, courage, love commitment. The daily alarm that goes off too early reminds us of greater goals than sleep. Showing up and showing compassion especially when it’s inconvenient. Tethering ourselves only to whom and what we truly stand for. Roots grow through bold confrontation when dreams for something lasting becomes reality.

Obedience, one might say, to be a better nature.

Radical change is not made overnight but in thousands of choices pointed in the same direction. These choices push us further until one day we find we are strong. We are immovable. And when we look at the horizon and see the next storm moving in, we need not find shelter. Nothing can displace us with the strength of these roots. – Craig Cunnigham
