Beautiful Habit

“If there are things you want to do, do them now that you’re young. I knew I wanted to travel and hit up 16 countries before I got married. We’ve traveled as a couple and as a family with kids since then because we created a habit young. Create as many good habits as possible in your youth because patterns are hard to break as you get older. Learn what you need and set up the corresponding habits. This is especially important in terms of relationships. Learn how to identify your triggers and set boundaries now. Many of us had terrible relationships in our twenties, but treat it as learning instead of creating a pattern you can’t get out of later.”

Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging“, as I know each of these pieces represents something…

  1. My parents instilled in me the habit of stopping on a road trip, instead of racing from Point A to Point B. Even now, when traveling alone, I take time to “enjoy the journey.” For the sake of staying awake and for health reasons, I try to stop every couple of hours at places where I can take a brief walk before getting back on the road, and I have seen some quaint sights in my “exploring” on foot. I also play worship music practically the whole way, singing along most of the time. (Thanks to being on a couple of worship teams and multiple churches, I know the lyrics from the past four decades.) It takes me a little longer to get to my destination, but I arrive happy and refreshed.

What a wonderful lesson to learn as life is truly about enjoying the journey. I too have discovered some amazing places along my travels, that I never would have found if I stuck to a plan ❤ —Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.
