Self-Care Ideas for Everyday Joy

Practice life-enhancing forms of self-care. Need to relax and unwind? Lift a blue mood? Bring a spot of pleasure into your day? Many people turn to food or alcohol or scrolling social media as a solution, only to feel even worse later. A few alternative ideas that might resonate include being in nature, working on a jigsaw puzzle, listening to a playlist of favorite music that shifts your mood, going for a walk, reading (or listening to) a good book, asking a loved one for a long hug, cuddling your pets, talking to a close friend or family member, or volunteering.
