When you were a child, what was the rule about desserts after dinner? Were you frequently admonished when you grew bored of what was on your plate and wanted dessert instead? Perhaps you can recall a parent wagging their finger at you and saying, “No dessert until you finish your dinner”.
Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging“, as I know each of these pieces represents something…

Definitely no dessert if the vegetables weren’t eaten!

How wonderful it would have been if, as children, we had the opportunity to pick out our own vegetables or help grow them in a garden. Perhaps being involved in the process would have led to cleaner plates and quicker transitions to dessert. ❤ —Thanks for taking the time to read, and comment.

Oh yes – no dessert if I didn’t clean my plate!

Ha! It seems like all of our parents followed that same rule from the elusive parenting handbook! I have to admit that as an adult, I always order dessert first when dining out. it usually surprises the waiter and serves as a great conversation starter at the table. ❤ —Thanks for taking the time to read, and comment.
