  1. I was at a party early in my marriage to Marty, and at one point he was standing next to the man who had seriously broken my heart in high school. As I took a step back and saw the two of them, I knew there was no comparison, and I was SO grateful the Lord didn’t give me what (whom) I wanted when I was so immature! We’ve been married for 53 years now, and I still wouldn’t trade him for anybody.
