When I was on my fieldtrip all the young adults were interested to see what I had in my basket. I got more than enough bullshit for buying brown rice (so healthy). I, however, did not let the comments phase me. After all, the bag was sixty nine cents. I was sold. Bon Appetit.
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1 can chicken stock
- 2 cups of water
- 1 carrot
- 1 half of jalapeño
- 3 garlic cloves
- ½ pine nuts
- 2 tablespoons of Herb ‘n Farm Fish Rub
- quarter of a bell pepper
- Half bunch of cilantro
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- half pound of prawns
In food processor pulse onions, bell pepper, carrot, jalapeño, and garlic. Cook mirepoix in oil for five minutes, until tender. Add rice, liquids, and seasoning and cook for 45 minutes, adding more liquid as necessary. In food processor add pine nuts, cilantro, and parmesan. Pulse and add mixture to rice and stir. Shrimp: Season shrimp with Herb ‘n Farm Fish Rub . Heat 1 T olive oil and butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook until opaque throughout, two to three minutes.

Yes absolutely very good to eat and healthy too. Nice and interesting post

I like the ingredients to brighten the flavor of the rice, sounds delightful with shrimp
I wonder how some ginger or lemongrass might taste with that

It was delightful. You now got me wondering about adding those ingredients I will have to try them next time I make this dish. Thank you for the suggestions
