Cranberry Mojitos

When life gives you bad cranberries, or any other fruit, you just make cocktails. Cheers to Imperfect Produce customer service!

Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup of cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Several springs of mint
  • 2 C. water

Cocktail:

  • 3-4 leaves of mint
  • 1 can ginger ale
  • 1 1⁄2 oz.  Ginger Rum
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1/2 oz of cranberry simple syrup

Methodology: Bring sugar, mint leaves, cranberries, and water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring once. Remove from heat. Let steep 10 minutes; strain, and discard mint leaves and cranberries. Let cool. Muddle together lime, mint, vodka, and syrup in a shaker. Rim glasses with lemon, place sugar on a plate. Press the rim of a chilled martini or rocks glass into the mixture to rim the edge. strain cocktail.
