Leftover Sample Paint Pots -Paint Dresser Drawers Add pops of color to a dresser or desk with one pot of sample paint in a bright shade. Start by emptying and removing all drawers. Sand the drawer sides, and tape off any areas you don’t want to paint (like the tops of the drawer sides or the drawer fronts). Prime, let dry, then apply two coats of paint. Apply a coat of clear wax or matte varnish for protection. Allow the paint to cure for a few days before reinstalling the drawers.

Do you prefer a particular type of paint for wood?

I have found that once you properly sand the wood, you can use any paint, but I think you will find this article a bit more helpful in answering your question. https://www.ronaldphillipsantiques.com/wood-paint-types/

I do think it is a fun idea as well, and a great way to utilize leftover paint.

This is beautiful. Pink makes me happy. However, I’m stuck on black these days. I just redid my office and it’s black, green and Kelly green. I’m tempted to put a large canvas of lips with pink lipstick b/c I feel like the room needs some pink in it. Lol!

I really appreciate unexpected pops of colors. Do what you will with your office if it makes you happy, and artistic lips seems like a fun unexpected accent piece.
