What’s one of your go-to Thanksgiving dishes? I always make a spicy pumpkin soup for people to enjoy as soon as they walk in the door. It’s usually set up on the kitchen island, with mugs stacked alongside a soup terrine and guess can serve themselves as I put finishing touches on the other appetizers.

My first pumpkin soup was made by the wife of a couple of friends – her husband didn’t like any sort of spice. Far too bland for me.
