What you do is not who you are! We’ve been so conditioned to lead with titles rather than share the truths that genuinely make us one of a kind. As a result, we often walk around in a cloud of confusion because we’re unclear about who we are outside of work. And when we’re unclear, we’re inevitably out of alignment. We end up in careers and relationships that don’t speak to our true identity and wonder why fulfillment is so fleeting. If your first thought about yourself is your career, title, and job responsibilities, I challenge you to dig deeper and see yourself differently. Ask yourself these starter questions: What brings me the most joy? •When did I feel the most satisfied? •What are my core values? If I had unlimited financial resources, what would I do every day?

What brings me the most joy? I get the most joy when I’m clean, my house is clean, the weather is nice, the puppies are clean and healthy and now my grandson is well. I’m a homebody and like clean environments. When did I feel the most satisfied? I also feel the most satisfied in those same situations and/or environments. This has not always been my truth but way so now then ever, I strive and thrive in peaceful environments. Background noise is permitted but mental peace is required. And if that means in the comfort of my home, I’m happy with it. What are my core values? My core values are loyalty, honesty, authenticity, faith is Christ Jesus, family, loved ones, esteeming others. If I had unlimited financial resources, what would I do every day? I’d give more. I’d work my non-profit more and then travel. No puppy, child, or senior citizen would go without.
