When cleaning out my mother’s house of 50 years, I found a letter my grandmother wrote in 1979 to my mom. Upon seeing her handwriting, I was immediately in her presence, her love. Since then, I have been trying to tell friends and loved ones that if you have something important to say, send a handwritten letter.” — Michael Paul Thomas, Asbury Park, N.J.

I know this feeling. My mother used to write (to handwrite) her favourite recipes in a book. I happen to watch it just to re-find her handwritten. With computers, we are losing it

What a beautiful gift. I do hope you have those books your mother written recipes in, and yes we are losing so much with technology.

I love writing. When I sell things online, I always write a handwritten note to the buyer!

Love that! I recently purchased a set of vintage bowls off Etsy, and the seller wrote me the most beautiful thank you note. It is truly the little joys in life that move us.
