Break Away: Scheduling

One year I picked up a calendar of Iowa state parks. One weekend each month my partner and I went hiking wherever the calendar told us to go. We explored many wonderful places and saw the beauty it states. Plus, it was so affordable and nothing as more than a few hours away. The calendar also held us accountable- the beautiful images made us feel a little guilty if wanted to skip – Ashe Purscell

Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging“, as I know each of these pieces represents something…

  1. I keep saying I’m going to go hiking one day and I’ve not done it yet! I also get free admissions to all the state parks! After school, when I start back traveling, it’s on!

I am an avid hiker and find it too often be a beautiful spiritual moment with nature and God. My best advice for newbies starts with a low grade, keep in short (under 2 miles), don’t go alone, please dress appropriately, no strong perfumes or scents, and for the black girls please wrap your hair up, or wear a cap.

      • I don’t wear perfume at all. I tried one time and I just didn’t get it. So, I don’t have to worry about that. Folks say I smell like the washing machine. They smell me b/4 they see me. So, I guest that’s my perfume.

It is a wonderful practice, and an affordable way to get out and explore new parts of your state. I do hope you are still doing this as it has inspired me, and I hope others. Thank you for sharing!
