Create a “fun” fund…

No one can (or should) completely strip their budget down to the bare minimum. For example, it’s not realistic to say you never dine out again. If you try to deprive yourself for extended periods of time, you may swing wildly in the other direction. Instead have a slow-release valve to help with the pressure if you try to achieve a big financial goal.  Try setting aside a certain amount of money every week of the month that’s dedicated to fun stuff- e.g., going out to eat or making impulsive purchases. To make things easier, you could even set aside money on a specific debit card or withdraw a set amount of cash to pull from. This way you won’t be tempted to go over your allowance.

Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging“, as I know each of these pieces represents something…

  1. Sadly, many people simply don’t have enough money to set a little bit aside for fun. It’s sad when people don’t have enough money to cover the basics, but I see it all the time.

I agree there are a lot of individuals living paycheck to paycheck. Though this is an opportunity todefine fun. Fun doesn’t have to be an extreme luxury. A $20 bill ($5  a week) could be utilized for a slice of pizza, and meeting a friend for a walk, or  purchasing  a ice beverage and a walk through your local city gardens…
