When the boss is young enough to be your kid If you go into your situation with an open mind, work like you are working for your customer, be sensitive to those around you, you will succeed no matter who your boss is.” — Robin, 61

Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real-life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging”, as I know each of these pieces represents something…
When our Social Services Departments were created from an amalgamation of Children’s, Mental Health, and Medical Social workers I found myself as Team Leader, aged just over 30, to people doing work I had never done. My approach to supervision was to learn from them. This worked particularly well with a woman nearing retirement who made it quite clear I had nothing to teach her. I simply agreed and asked her to teach me.

That is a wonderful approach especially as someone newly in charge. I always find it best to take an observation approach to see what is working and what is not working as we all have something to teach each other,
