P.A.C.E.

Practice P.A.C.E., (Permission,Awareness and Anchor,Compassion,Envision), an informal mindfulness practice, to help you gain perspective and balance when journeying through a transition: Pause throughout your day when feeling out of sorts. Take a few mindful breaths. Bring your attention to the felt sense of your body and your feet in contact with the earth. Offer yourself some grace. Acknowledge any reactivity. Label your emotions and any losses or ambiguities. Notice and soften into any holding or tightness in your body, as best you can. Allow yourself space and time to experience the full range of feelings associated with choosing to grow and change. Acknowledge your courage and commitment. Compassionately direct your energy toward things in your immediate life that you can impact/control. Practice self-compassion. Engage with others. Ask for support, ideas. Share your journey and experiences with those you trust. Remember, by nature we are social creatures and none of us does it alone.
