Professionally Cleaned

If you have the means, get your place professionally cleaned on a semi regular basis. It saves so much stress, time, and actually motivates you to keep things clutter free.

Positively Purging–I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging”, as I know each of these pieces represents something

I agree with this post so much – and I do not think some folks realize how inexpensive a whole house cleaning can be. Well, for those on a extremely tight budget days (which some call the dirt broke poor days -ha) well that might not be an option – but for the average budget – folks could just NOT dine out once or twice and use that money for the cleaner.
Oh and your tip here is also about “working smarter, not harder” (which I know is a term that can be debated) but when yu see a little cleaning team show up and do their work in a couple hours – with the right tools and know how – well it can be such a huge gift!

Yes, I feel a quarterly professional deep cleaning is worth adjusting the budget as a clean home makes a big difference. I would encourage the “dirt poor” to save a little each month and utilize a service once a year.  Deep cleaning significantly improves one’s chances of getting that full security deposit back or negotiating on rent during inspection.

well please do not take this the wrong way, but for you to even think “dirt poor” meant a few dollars can be put a way – well then we both have very different definitions of being broke.
Because when “times be hard” it is a joke to think even five dollars can be put away (but again, some have never been on that tight of a budget)
also, not everyone rents – but I did find it interesting to hear that you could negotiate rent – I know a few folks that have rented and know many that are landlords – and have never heard of lowering rent for clean and tidy? That might be more of your area – but the folks I know who lease our places – and many are done with a leasing company – but even the direct ones – the fee is set and based on a variety of factors.
anyhow, thanks nfor letting me share this 🙂
