Hope allows for the unknown future to occur instead of the one I fear. Our enemies know of our power even if we don’t believe in it ourselves. That’s why they work so hard to suppress us. Oppression is profitable. Suppression is necessary to produce those profits.

I have a passion for doing the best I can do today. It starts with being honest as I can with myself and others. It continues with self-forgiveness to allow me to forgive others. It continues with infecting others with my sense of hope so that we struggle better together. Hope is not an option, but a necessity for the human rights movement.
