I loved the book Unforgettable by Scott Simon and although I knew the ending I was still pulling for Patricia. The woman had spunk, courage, humor, and sheer loveliness. I applaud her son Scott Simon not for his public voice, as host of NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday, but for his private voice and vulnerability in sharing his mother’s days on Twitter. This book reinforced for me why I journal and take photographs. Each of our lives are a beautiful short moment that are worthy of capturing. I know if you’re as busy as I am you’re laughing and thinking when in the hell am I going have time to journal. To that I raise the Gretchen Rubin challenge– start keeping a one sentence journal and if that is still too much, try the marble story. Life is worth capturing. How are you capturing it?
