    I think that’s a fair point. I think it’s important to have realistic expectations, but I’m not sure how often we think about them in relation to the way we feel. It’s normal to experience a whole range of feelings across our lifetimes. I know for me that when I expect that I should be happy (or happier), then that makes me feel sad and disappointed. But without the expectation, I feel more free to accept my emotions for what they are.

      I agree “It’s normal to experience a whole range of feelings across our lifetimes.” the issue is we have to realize we are capable of such a wide range of emotions. Many of us figure we must either be simply sad or happy…

      PS: Inside Out is in my top 5 cartoon/animation movies 🙂
