I looked at my hours this evening. After three years I have accumulated _____ clinical hours, _____ non-clinical hours and ______supervision hours. I think of that saying, “You don’t know how fast you’re going until you’re going.” I realized my speed is full on part-time, so “Why can’t the state establish a part-time licensure program?” They have a part-time social worker program, and rules for those who want to pursue it. I understand they want to make sure you are prepared to be a well-rounded clinician, but these hours and the time restriction just don’t fit everyone!
