More than an Afterhought

Walk through your home and – not with a mindset of nagging criticisms, but with love, care, and affection you’d give to a friend over coffee who sharing the ways they’d like to, say, drink more water, date better guys, get bangs – begin to create a list of the little things you’d like to someday swap out, and or get rid of. If possible, it’s helpful to prioritize this list by what’s most dire need of change.

After you know what needs to be done, begin jotting down another list of all the little moments that inspire you as you’re out and about in the world. Go big here, not holding back or being too practical. This isn’t necessarily a shopping list. Instead, the goal is for you to become aware of the pieces and styles you have drawn to, of the design aesthetics that can infused into your own home.
