RANT to digital coupons and shopping ads that essentially discriminate against older people, many of whom haven’t managed or don’t want to go digital, but who, with their fixed incomes, could certainly benefit from reduced prices.
RANT to patient portals. I am fed up with these systems that require patients to have a username and password to fill out online forms for medical practices. I went along with it for my primary care provider. Then the ENT specialist I saw had me sign up for their portal. The podiatrist I saw, had another portal. Now I need to see a retina specialist, who is bugging me to log into their portal. ENOUGH already! Then there are data breaches! I don’t mind filling out online or paper forms. Just let me download fillable forms and fax them.
RANT to the people who bring their dogs to Renton’s Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. This is a people’s park for exercising and enjoying nature. There are printed and picture signs saying “No Dogs”! People should not have to worry about being jumped on or knocked down; not to mention the mess they leave! There are dog parks, let’s use them!
RANT to vacation rental owners who charge a hefty cleaning fee, and then ask renters to strip beds, put towels in the bathtub (or start a load of laundry), take out trash and leave a clean kitchen. And when checkout is 10 a.m., there isn’t much time to get all of that done!

I agree entirely – although I don’t have experience of the last one

I too agree with them all. The first one is a big pet peeves of mine, as it screams ageism and classism. I have experienced the last one and find it to be an absurd ask of guests to pay $100+ for cleaning fees, and for them to be the housekeeper. I also find the early check out fees a deal breaker because if I wanted early check out I would have stayed in a hotel…okay end rant 😉
