When I feel overwhelmed I tend to retreat and pause for a bit as I become too over stimulated and then I can’t think straight.
I retreat and work the issue out in my mind by writing it out on paper and coming to my decisions on my own time.
Then, I come out of hiding and do what I need to do. It don’t take me long for the most part, depending on the situation.
I like facing what’s going on in my life, even if it takes me a minute to figure out the way forward.

I have to take “time out.” How long my time out lasts, can vary. It can be an afternoon, a day, or so many days.

Love it, I often say, answered come in the quiet moments. Psychologists call it “taking a pause.”
It is a highly effective, recognized strategy. ❤ —Thanks for taking the time to read, and comment.

If I can, I go for a walk, preferably outside. There’s something about movement that helps me to think through whatever’s going on, and gain some perspective. Sometimes I also need to ‘write it out’.

I find that a walk in the fresh air and putting pen to paper are both wonderful ways to find calm and allow creativity to flow.❤️—Thanks for taking the time to read, and comment.
