I was going to write a detailed post about the winter weather (all negative with a few touches of sarcasm), but somehow that feels like homework and very ungrateful on this beautiful snow day. Therefore, here’s my report in a 100 words or less “The city is shut down and my power is still on. So, yes; I have Netflix and my clean fuzzy blanket right out the dryer, my fire place is going, and my spouse (who just whipped up this amazing cocktail that he nicked named “Dirty snow day”). I hope if you have snow that you’re having a beautiful, safe snow day as well and that you feel like a kid who doesn’t have to go to school. Yes, the responsible adult in me set up a voicemail and email informing all client and students that appointments and classes are canceled until further notice. Cheers to winter storms!
Dirty Snow day
- Bourbon
- Splash of orange juice
- Lime
- One egg white
- a few ice cubes
- cup Cranberry raspberry Juice
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the bourbon, lime, cranberry raspberry, egg white, and shake. Press the rim of a chilled martini or rocks glass into the mixture to rim the edge, and then dip in sugar. Strain cocktail.

We are enjoying this winter weather although we would prefer the 70’s and that’s not meaning the year, although that was a good year, lol. The winter helps us to appreciate the other seasons by allowing us to lay dormant for a period before blooming again.
