I came across these great little spears at the farmers market and had to try them, especially after the lovely lady told me they were like garlic asparagus and it didn’t hurt that they came with a great little instruction tag. Bon Appetit
- Elephant Garlic Spears
- Asparagus
- One lemon cut into wedges
- Herb’n Farm NW – Rainier Rub
Directions: SprinkleElephant Garlic Spears and asparagus with Herb’n Farm and cook on grill with lemon wedges until lightly charred.
Verdict: I wasn’t impressed with the Elephant Garlic Spears, and the heads tasted like bulbs of roasted garlic (perhaps a plus if your a true garlic lover). I wouldn’t cook these in this manner again . I do have a few left over and will try them in a few more dishes. I also think they would be amazing in my garlic soup.
Never heard of these before.
