Strawberry Fields Salad

untitled.png

It’s hot out and I am all about the no cook meals seeing the bags of salad for $1 reminded me of last summer’s dollar salads. You can read about them here, here, and here. Thought this time around the joke was on me, arriving back in my kitchen opening the bag the “strawberries” looked more like bacon bits. I now refer to them as strawberry dust, and the dressing didn’t seem nearly enough to dress a salad. This is false advertising at its worst, though I prevailed on the dinner front. Bon Appetit

  • 1 bag of strawberry fields salad
  • 2 hard boil eggs
  • 5 strips of bacon roughly chopped
  • 5 mint leaves  chiffonade
  •  Elephant garlic spears chopped
  • Goat cheese

Directions: Slice garlic tips and chiffon mint toss in bowl with spinach . Add dressing in a bowl and mix. Place salad in individual bowls, top with almonds, “strawberry dust”, , chopped eggs, bacon, and goat cheese.

Verdict: I would buy this again because hey it’s a quick, healthy meal  for $1.00. I, however, would NOT be expecting  a strong strawberry flavor as this had NONE.
