Blended Bliss

After my lazy walk through the farmers market this morning, I dreamed of a  Mango smoothie (What’s your favorite summer drink?). Sweet ripe mangos need little help in the smoothie department and smoothie is  a welcome pick-me-up no matter what time of day. If your looking for more summer drinks pop on over to Cooking without Limits  post Summer drinks! Cheers to the flavor of summer.

  • 1cup chopped ripe mango
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup ice
  • ¼ cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Preparations: Place the mango, milk, ice, yogurt, and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy.

Real Life Tip :Smell and texture are the two best indicators of ripeness in a mango. The appearance of a mango can also provide some clue, but appearance alone should not be relied upon. This mango look like a slight bruise cut it open and it was rotten
