Self Care

Say more about your self-care…I set my alarm before I need to get up, and I usually have a mediation queued up. And I always do some kind of fitness. I spin, run, lift weights, stretch, do yoga or go for a walk. I like to switch it up. I don’t really push myself as hard as I used to. I listen to my body and try to feel strong.  – Jessica Alba

  1. When I attended a training course for Assistant Child Care Officers in 1966, the psychiatrist delivering it said we should never use alarm clocks because our work was stressful enough. I have never used one since – although I do have the ability to programme myself to wake at any specific time

That is excellent advice. I too rarely use an alarm clock to start my days and prefer to rely on my natural sleep cycle. Which often has me up by 10:00. This has been beneficial for my body’s natural circadian rhythm, allowing me to move throughout my day with a cheerful outlook.—Thanks for taking the time to read and comment!
