Strength has often been defined as self-sacrifice. We’ve been told that to be seen as equal , we have to work twice as hard. And many of us have mastered that lesson so well that we don’t know how to put it down. We grind, we endure, and we push through even when it means neglecting ourselves.
Grind may have been our default mode, but it’s not the only way forward. Strength is not just about pushing through pain on your own. It can also mean letting yourself be supported, rested, and cared for.
Carrying everything alone doesn’t always make you stronger. Sometimes it just makes you tired. Sometimes it makes you break. What if strength could also mean giving yourself permission to rest and receive? It can look like asking for help, finding joy without guilt, and protecting yourself instead of proving yourself.
If you’ve accomplished this much while carrying pain, exhaustion, or loneliness, imagine what you could do if you felt supported, rested, and free. The world needs that version of you. The one with space to dream bigger, build more, and enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard for. Think about the creativity, clarity, and confidence that come when you are no longer weighed down.
