Getting out of Debt

Does it matter which credit cards I pay off first?

Not really. Pick the strategy you’re most likely to stick with.

If you make to-do lists just to cross things off, you might like the snowball method. That’s when you pay off your smallest balance first. Then the second-smallest, and so on. A lot of experts like this approach because knocking out entire balances can build motivation to keep going until all your debt is gone.

If ‘efficiency’ is your middle name, you might prefer the avalanche method. That’s when you focus on paying the balance attached to the highest interest rate first. This saves you more money over time because you’ll pay less in interest.

Save For All The Things

Save for all the things. Because it’s not just the down payment. There are appraisals, inspections, closing costs, and surprise repairs that come with buying your first home. Aim to save as much as you can so you’re prepared.

Degrease Your Cabinets

Degrease your cabinets even if you’re not deep frying in your kitchen grease and oil wind up on your cabinets doors, making them look dull and not so pretty. Combine equal amounts of warm water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spritz the panels and let the solution sit for two minutes, then wipe with a microfiber cloth.

A: Planting a garden for continuous color is not only appealing to us but also has great ecological benefits. Continuous color means a constant food source for pollinators and beneficial insects. Find out what blooms early, mid, and late in your area. At Tonkadale, we have a really great chart! Fulfillment

Have you asked yourself what you need to be happy and fulfilled? The first step is knowing what we need, and the second step is taking action to make sure we actually get it. Write down what needs you think aren’t being met: emotional support, sleep, laughter? Tell yourself that you deserve to be happy and fulfilled. Also remind yourself that others may not be available to meet your needs. What are some ways that you can meet your needs yourself? For example, if you need touch, can you get a massage? If you need rest, can you set aside two days on your own to just relax? If you need love, can you commit to giving yourself tenderness and affection?
