Know your Limits

There’s a notion in Kabbalah known as Tzimtzum, or construction. When God created the world, he limited his powers so we could have free will. You can take comfort in the limits of your powers, too. Like God, you do not control everything. What you can control is what you do and do not engage with. When you face tough situation you can’t change, you can grieve that there is nothing to be done – and then you can be done with it. There’s freedom in that that. – Rabbie Edwin Goldberg
