In an extended essay published in 1929 Virginia Woolf advised women writers to create “a room of one’s own” …Having your own room or nook can reduce stress and bolster our quality of life. It can take a meaningful difference in your wellbeing. It doesn’t have to be big. A corner of a room will do! And you can design it to suite whatever activity you crave (whether that making art or meditating, reading, or daydreaming) all you need to get started is a vision.
