Let grief transform you and those around you
If we allow it, grief can make us better versions of ourselves — more compassionate, loving and empathetic. Grief can also sharpen our sense of what matters to us and expand our capacity to care for others who are hurting. This type of transformation doesn’t mean “moving on” from loss. It means carrying it differently and using what it has taught us to build connection, rather than retreat from it.
We will all face loss of people, of plans, of identities we once held. If we can learn to name our losses, allow them to shape us for the better and connect with each other, grief becomes more than something to endure. It becomes a source of growth, empathy and even meaning.
When we learn how to grieve, openly and together, we don’t just heal ourselves. We create a culture where no one needs to carry their heaviest burdens alone.
