Road Safety

If someone is tailgating you, it is best not to speed up because speeding can make it harder to avoid potential road hazards. Move over one lane and let them pass instead.
๐Ÿš˜ If someone is threatening you with a firearm or you believe you are being followed, donโ€™t engage and call 911 for help.
๐Ÿš˜ If your car stalls or runs out of gas on the road, put your hazard lights on and release the accelerator. Donโ€™t slam on the brakes.
๐Ÿš˜ It can be safer to sit in the passenger seat while waiting for help in the right shoulder lane. Position yourself as far away from traffic as possible.

Mindful Housekeeping: Laundry

Folding Laundry :The repetitive nature of folding, coupled with the quiet satisfaction of seeing the tangle of clean clothes transformed into a neat pile, makes folding laundry another good choice for a meditative activity.Use your senses to enhance the experience, inhaling the scent of fresh linens and feeling the texture of the fabrics in your hands.

Charting a New Path

โ€œCharting a different path begins with reprogramming our thinking. Weโ€™ve been lied to. Misled into believing our power is derived from money or proximity to whiteness, when that couldnโ€™t be further from the truth. Our power is derived from our principles, our values and our people. Our currency, our medium of exchangeโ€ฆis love. And love โ€” real love โ€” requires action. What you love, you protect. What you love, you fight for and with. What you love, you demand more from. What you love, you invest in. What you love, you work tirelessly to see continue.โ€

This season of release is an invitation to let go of the lies and embrace the truth of our power.

Dining

Why donโ€™t youโ€ฆ Dine at a restaurant that doesnโ€™t require a Resy strategy. Emancipate yourself from being offered 10:15 p.m. on a Tuesday three months from now. Go somewhere terminally unhip. Somewhere thatโ€™s old school and proud of it. Somewhere you can simply walk in. The food will be cheaper. Our night will be better. Youโ€™ll be home by nine.
