I have wild natural curls. When I had my own daughter with similar hair, I realized it was time to embrace them – Ashley Atkisson

Positively Purging-I welcome your feedbacks in the comments and your likes and passing the real life wisdom on to others as I embark on this new venture of “positively purging“, as I know each of these pieces represents something…
It has always intrigued me that those with curly hair want to straighten it and vice versa

I love my natural curls! 😊 It took me years to fully embrace them, but they are springy, and cute, and very me. Sometimes, I enjoy straightening them with a flat iron, because it can be refreshing to change up one’s look once in a while. But no longer do I feel as though I somehow “need” to. Do you know how freeing it is to be able to just wash, condition, and go, without fussing over hair for the next hour? Naturally curly, ftw!

Yesss, I do know how freeing it is 🙂 Have you heard Kelly Rowland, song Crown it is the most positive song I have heard since Solange, Don’t Touch My Hair. I think you may enjoy it especially on wash days 🙂

Lol well for me, every day is a wash day. My curls require daily shampooing and conditioning, or they’ll be out of control. 🙂 Thanks for the songs. I hadn’t heard either of those before. I love it when artists help people to celebrate their own natural, diverse beauty.

I know exactly what you mean. So many of us have problems with tight curly hair, but it’s natural so take care and love it! Please come back to my blog more often. Take care.
