Cleaning out my screenshots I realized September 8, 2019 I hit 1,000 followers, or as Glenys Gelzinis and I refer to our readers, supporters. I did NOT immediate post about this because I am just not that into numbers (at least on social media). To me blogging feels more like an open letter, a daily calendar of reflections, and a great conversation. I am grateful that God continues to dream a bigger dream for me. My original plan was “pull out a quote and my glue stick and adhere it to pages of what I called my quote book. The idea behind this was I would fill it with thoughts, nuggets of laughter, and wisdom that I could flip through and center myself.” Instead I have been encouraged to share these thoughts with you with the hope that they would not only uplift you, but also force you to pause and reflect. Many of you have- I love the commentary and even the likes.
I am grateful that you have decided to join me on this journey. I share this number now so that I can tell you these followers did not ALL come at once. I started this blog in 2015 (let that sink in). So, as we look ahead, let’s not focus on the next 1000 supporters, but on what’s new on this blog. My hope is more of the same while continuing to reveal and to answer the question “How did I get here?” To those wondering what will happen to this blog once my purging basket is completely purged- I don’t know. What I know now is the basket isn’t empty. So, I thank you for supporting my blog and it is my hope we all have an even more amazing 2020.
