What a great question! I think by the time I reach my goals, they have usually branched into the next thing to do and I start off on that. Or I don’t reach my goal but instead am redirected to some other pursuit. Just thinking about this makes me think I should be more intentional about commemorating both before moving to the next thing.
What she said up above. I’ll have to ponder on this. I’m working on a goal now. RN school. After that NCLEX. After that pay off mortgage. After that go somewhere and sit down and watch tennis. Hopefully by then I’ll have a grand baby that I can put in tennis school and watch he/she play tennis. End result is TENNIS!
This is a great question. I would say, in the last decade or so, I have become more initial about pausing, and celebrating my goals, and/or reflecting on any new direction that they have taken me in. I really enjoyed Jason Feifer, view on goals, you may enjoy this post “You are six steps away from your goal”
