  2. This, I believe, is the principle behind the Sabbath. For many it seems like another rule to limit people, but some years ago I read Jesus’ words, “The Sabbath was made for Man, not Man for the Sabbath,” and I understood for the first time that He was saying, “My Father gave you the Sabbath to make life easier, not harder.” He knew some of us wouldn’t rest unless He commanded us to.
