Bills & Expenses

Prepay your car insurance premiums. You might be paying additional administrative fees if you pay your car or other insurance premiums monthly. Move to annual or semiannual billing to reduce the extra charges. Can’t prepay the whole premium right now? Try bundling your insurance policies to lower your bills.

Switch to annual billing on your subscriptions. Whether your subscription is for the newspaper, TV streaming, fitness memberships, software, music or Amazon Prime, switching to yearly billing saves money and streamlines your monthly bills. Can’t do them all at once? Switch one at a time and treat it like a monthly bill by putting it in your budget.

Luxury

‘Sometimes it hits you immediately. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes you have to walk around the room, touching things before you know for sure. But you can feel it in the air. It has a personality all its own. I’m talking about luxury. It’s a feeling, an experience – when not just materials but details come together in a way that makes a space different from all others. Luxury takes time, details take time – that’s the real difference. It’s what separates a good room from a great one. Oh, and of course it costs more, too. True luxury means bespoke pieces specifically designed and created to elevate a room. It can be with beautiful wallpaper ideas, linens, drapery, furniture, art, and/or accessories. Above all, it imbues craftsmanship. – Joy Moyler

The Greeting

RANT to the greeting, “How’s your day going?” or the other one, “How are you doing today?” Both are intrusive and, frankly, both feel like insincere queries. Just a simple, “Hello” should suffice

Spiritual Reflections

Prayer: Father in heaven, I love how You take my blunders and turn them into a good story. You show that You can bring good out of any situation, even my weakness, ignorance, and fallenness. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for me and make atonement for my sins on the Cross. And thank You for giving Your Holy Spirit to guide me through each day, including and especially on the unexpected detours I don’t understand and don’t like. Help me to trust You with it all. In Jesus’ name, amen. –Annie

There’s a moment after change called acceptance, where you begrudgingly accept the situation, you’re in. Sure, you might have fallen into your chance kicking and screaming, but after the blows, are the open road. It’s on you to accept your situation and make the dive.

Taste of Summer

And then, of course, there are the tomatoes, which inspire their own strain of fanaticism. Did you know that every time you refrigerate a tomato, an angel loses its wings? Did you know that each time you use a grocery store tomato for a tomato sandwich, a child drops an ice cream cone?
